Solving CPU Downclocking
The most breaking point was during a stealth mission when the screen suddenly froze severely—a classic case of old platform VRM insufficiency causing CPU downclocking. I tried lowering the graphics to the absolute minimum; while VRAM pressure decreased, the CPU downclocking persisted per HWInfo. I used the GamePP BIOS Load-Line Voltage Adjustment Wizard to set LL to L3 and manually locked the Vcore offset to +0.03V. RTSS showed frame times improved from 20-60ms to 14-22ms, with CPU temperature stable at 78-84℃ per AIDA64.
