Solving Fanxiang S910PRO 2TB loading hangs?
Entering the underwater city felt like a test of patience, with the loading bar just sitting there—absolute torture for a PCIe 5.0 era drive. The Fanxiang S910PRO 2TB controller was choking on fragmented resource files, with random reads dropping to 0.7-1.4MB/s and the I/O queue just backing up. I tried a disk defrag, which not only failed to help but actually added 10 seconds to the load time—I was honestly tempted to just uninstall the game. I finally confirmed AHCI mode in the BIOS and modified the registry to give the game SSD the highest response priority. CrystalDiskMark showed 4K reads moving from 1.4MB/s to 3.1MB/s, and loading time dropped from 46 seconds to 23. I did have a brief boot failure after the first registry edit, but I sorted it by resetting the boot entries. Temps are stable at 44-52℃, and the overall feel is much more responsive now.
