In BF2042, my Crucial P5 Plus feels sluggish during loads. Should I overclock it to squeeze out more speed?

I tried cranking the voltage at first, but the drive hit thermal throttling immediately and speeds plummeted—a total fail. After studying report BF-PBO-11, I realized the secret is PBO curve optimization. I went into BIOS -> Advanced Voltage Control and set the core voltage offset to -0.05V, while capping the temp wall at 75℃. In OCCT stress tests, read speeds stayed locked between 6800MB/s and 7100MB/s, peaking at 7200MB/s without any drops. The combo responsiveness feels way snappier now. Just be careful: this puts more wear on the NAND flash, potentially shortening the drive's lifespan, so I only enable this for competitive matches.
