Why is my Noctua NH-D15S struggling with Witcher 3 Next-Gen?
Strolling through the Novigrad markets, my CPU temps shot from 62°C to 88°C in three seconds flat according to AIDA64, causing nasty micro-stutters as clocks tanked. I noticed the NH-D15S fans were frantically jumping between 1200-1500 RPM, making the noise absolutely grating. I first tried setting the BIOS fan mode to Silent, but that was a disaster—temps hit 94°C and triggered thermal throttling. Realizing the presets were useless, I fired up the GamePP Fan Curve Config Panel and mapped a linear growth segment for the 75°C-85°C range, capping the max speed at 1450 RPM.
