Solving Thermal Throttling
While Peter is swinging between skyscrapers, I wondered if this low-profile cooling could handle the 50 series. It was a nightmare; temperatures hit 84-89℃ per HWiNFO, causing FPS to tank from 75 to 42. I first tried limiting the frame rate to 60 FPS in the driver panel, but while temperature dropped by 3℃, the screen tearing actually worsened. I then used the GamePP Fan Curve Configuration Panel to force fan speeds to 90% above 70℃. Now, core frequency is stable at 2450-2520MHz per GPU-Z, and temps stay at 76-81℃ per HWiNFO, which is a total save
