Thermalright PA140 Cooling Fix
During intense point capture battles, I was confused why this top-tier dual-tower cooler allowed temperature overshoots, causing noticeable frame drops. I tried lowering the core voltage in the BIOS, but while temperatures dropped by 4℃, it caused occasional blue screens during map loading. I then used the GamePP Fan Curve Configuration Panel to move the fan start threshold from 65℃ to 55℃. Now, temperature fluctuations converged to 62-74℃ per HWiNFO64, and low-load noise is balanced by locking speeds below 40℃ to 800 RPM per GamePP monitoring, with CPU load steady at 60-70% per GamePP.
