Stop CPU Thermal Throttling
While commanding the Normandy during galaxy jumps, I noticed CPU temperatures skyrocketing from 62℃ to 91℃ per HWiNFO, causing violent frequency fluctuations and breaking the immersion with obvious stuttering. I first tried setting the fan mode to full speed in the BIOS, but the noise was like a helicopter taking off while temperatures still lingered around 88℃, which was incredibly inefficient. I then used the GamePP Fan Curve Configuration Panel to sharply increase the speed slope between 75℃-85℃ and set a 90℃ forced full-speed trigger. The hardware sensor page confirmed the peak temperature dropped to 78-82℃ and frequency stabilized at 4.2-4.
