Solving CPU Thermal Throttling
I felt totally robbed of immersion during boss fights; the CPU load would surge, but my NH-D14 stayed way too quiet, leading to sudden, jarring stutters. I tried setting the fans to full speed in the BIOS, but the high-frequency whine at night was absolutely unbearable. I finally used the GamePP Fan Curve Configuration Panel to steepen the response slope between 60-80℃ and set the start speed to 35%. Now, frame times are a smooth 11-15ms per RTSS, and CPU temps stay at 68-74℃ per AIDA64, with no more 62℃ to 94℃ spikes per GamePP Hardware Sensor.
