Taming CPU Heat Spikes
While exploring the snowfields of Yotei, I noticed CPU temperatures skyrocketing from 55℃ to 88-92℃ per AIDA64 almost instantly, while fan noise remained stagnant. It was a total immersion killer. I first tried enabling Full Speed mode in the motherboard BIOS, but the fans roared even at idle, which was a crude, unacceptable solution. I then used the GamePP Fan Curve Configuration Panel to aggressively increase the speed slope between 65-75℃ and locked 85℃+ to 100% load. Peak temperatures were successfully suppressed to 76-81℃ per AIDA64, with fan speeds stabilizing at 1400-1600RPM.
