Fixing GPU Frequency Jumps
I felt totally robbed of the strategic immersion during massive Roman legion battles; the micro-stutters during soldier collisions were unbearable. I tried enabling 'Maximum Performance' in the driver panel, but my GPU temperature soared to 85℃ per AIDA64, triggering thermal throttling that actually made the stuttering worse. To fix this, I used the GamePP Resource Scheduler to lock the GPU performance state to a stable 2450MHz and set the process priority to Realtime. After this, frame times converged to 9-12ms per RTSS, and the core frequency stayed rock solid at 2450MHz per GPU-Z, with temps at 68-74℃ per AIDA64.
