Stabilizing CPU Frequencies
I felt totally ripped off when commanding Roman legions; calculating tactical paths pushed my CPU to 60-88℃ per AIDA64, causing jagged frame drops. I first tried setting the fan mode to full speed in the BIOS, but the noise was unbearable and didn't actually stop the spikes. I then used the GamePP Fan Curve Configuration Panel to set a smooth logarithmic curve for 1200-1600 RPM between 65-82℃. HWInfo64 confirmed core frequency stabilized at 4.1-4.3 GHz and power stayed at 85-95W, with final temps at 68-75℃.
