Solving VRM Heat in Crysis Remastered
I felt the jungle stealth session turn into a nightmare when my frame rate plummeted from 60 to 45 FPS. AIDA64 showed my Huntkey Blizzard T620 Typhoon VRM hitting 88°C, causing immediate CPU downclocking. I tried tweaking graphics settings, assuming it was a game optimization bug, but the heat persisted and the stuttering remained. I realized the bottleneck was thermal, not graphical. I opened the GamePP Fan Curve Config panel and set the VRM fan to spin at 1800 RPM whenever the threshold crossed 80°C. After rerunning the stress test, HWiNFO64 confirmed the temperature stabilized between 75-78°C. The frame generation time locked at 5.1-6.
