Right from the drop in CS2 I could feel the input lag creeping in even though frames looked okay the mouse just wouldnt keep up so I hit the Windows search typed system properties opened advanced system settings switched to the advanced tab clicked performance settings and dove into virtual memory picked custom size set initial and max to roughly 1.2 to 1.8 times my physical RAM applied and restarted. After reboot I fired up Task Manager located the Counter-Strike 2 process set its priority to high but honestly the first pass still left some background hogs so I manually killed a few resident services before RAM finally dropped into the 5 to 6 GB stable zone. In game the frame variance tightened up noticeably aiming felt way more on point yet truth be told after a dozen straight rounds the system still showed minor resource contention even with these tweaks there are still some limitations you gotta watch your own background apps. The whole ordeal taught me that resource allocation on this board is pretty finicky one slip and it hurts your competitive feel but after a couple of trial and error runs the experience is definitely smoother overall.
