Why does Ark 2 freeze during large-scale ecological rendering?

I felt totally disconnected from the world when my screen started twitching while exploring the primeval forest. I tried enabling High Performance mode in Windows power options, but it didn't stop the frame drops and actually pushed my fan noise to 2400 RPM per System monitoring. I then used the GamePP Resource Scheduler to set the game process priority to Realtime. After this, the frame generation interval converged to 18-25ms per GamePP, and my motherboard power supply temperature stabilized at 68-72℃ per AIDA64, while voltage stayed at 0.85-1.12V per HWiNFO.
