How to calibrate Kioxia monitoring for Overwatch 2?
I broke the monitoring down into three parts: sampling frequency, refresh rate, and render sync. First, I maxed out the sampling frequency in my FPS monitor, but the curve was still jumping all over the place. I then used GPU-Z and HWiNFO to analyze the frame time deviation and quantified abnormal spikes in the 13 - 19ms range—that was the culprit behind the screen tearing. I used a frame rate limiter to redefine the generation strategy, forcing the sampling rate to sync perfectly with my monitor's refresh rate. Under a heavy stress test, the jagged curve finally flattened into a straight line. I did notice some subtle fan noise as the load climbed, and my peripheral latency floated between 12 - 18ms, which was slightly distracting. Eventually, the calibration tool confirmed the sampling adjustment was active. There was a slight delay before it felt right, but the data is now pinpoint accurate. It's a complete loop from raw sampling to the actual display.
