WoW PCIe 5.0 SSD Tuning
I was so excited for PCIe 5.0 speeds, but every time I entered Valoras in WoW, the screen would freeze for 0.5s, which was incredibly jarring. I tried switching the PCIe mode to Gen3 in BIOS for stability, but this halved my speeds and the stuttering remained—a complete waste of time. I used the GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Config to lock the queue depth at 2048. Loading times dropped from 15s to 8s, and HWiNFO showed temperatures at 55-64℃ with frame times at 5.1-6.4ms via GamePP. Time to switch
