Fixing WoW City Micro-Stutters
I was so excited to return to the main city for trading, but the screen suffered from maddening micro-stutters that made social interaction a pain. I first tried enabling AHCI mode optimization in the BIOS, but it caused a system boot failure, proving this crude intervention was wrong. I used GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Configuration to increase the queue depth to 128 and enabled forced write cache flush. Frame times converged to 12-16ms per RTSS, read latency hit 22-62ms via GamePP, and temps stayed at 45-52℃ per AIDA64.
