Why is Titanfall 3 stuck on a black screen for 30 seconds at startup?

I was so excited for this release, but the startup black screen was devastating, forcing me to stare at a blank screen for 30 seconds. I tried updating all motherboard drivers, but it didn't help and actually caused random USB disconnects, which was a waste of time. I used the GamePP Peripheral Driver Conflict Detector to disable a legacy gamepad driver. System Log showed black screen time dropped to 10-12s, CPU temp stayed 38-42℃ per HWiNFO, and motherboard idle was 36℃ per HWInfo.
