Fixing WD SN850X 1TB texture loading in The Witcher Remake
Seeing Novigrad's buildings snap into focus instantly is such a rush. Before the tweak, my WD SN850X 1TB in Balanced mode had controller response times jumping between 12-25ms on CrystalDiskMark, which caused obvious texture flickering during heavy asset loads. I tried enabling low-power mode in the driver panel, but that just added 5 seconds to my load times and increased the stuttering—a total fail. I then used the GamePP Power Plan Switcher to lock the system into Ultimate Performance mode and optimized the NVMe interrupt request priority. On the GamePP Hardware Sensor Page, read/write latency stabilized at 8-12ms via CrystalDiskMark, and texture pop-in dropped by 30%.
