How to fix G.Skill Trident DDR4 3200 boot loops in The Witcher 3?
I was so hyped for the next-gen visuals, but the loading bar would get halfway and then—boom—black screen and reboot. That excitement turned into pure rage instantly. The default XMP profile on my G.Skill 3200 MHz sticks was hitting a synchronization conflict with the new anti-cheat instructions, causing 4-8 parity errors in the memory controller. I first tried downclocking to 2666 MHz in the BIOS, but I lost about 12 FPS, which was a total compromise I couldn't live with. I eventually used a flash tool to update the BIOS to the latest stable version and loaded a custom optimized timing profile. In MemTest86, my latency dropped from 88ns to 80ns, and the stability is night and day. I actually struggled with the profile save path at first, and the settings didn't apply until I did a hard reboot. Memory temps are now 40-46℃, and CPU is at 62-68℃. The boot logs confirm the instruction conflict is gone, and temps stay a cool 42-45℃.
