How to optimize multi-core scheduling on Jginyue X99M-PLUS D4?
Whenever my character traversed the open world, the smooth visuals would suddenly twitch, and it made me want to toss the motherboard out the window. The GamePP Hardware Sensor Page revealed that the core load on the Jginyue X99M-PLUS D4 was distributed unevenly, ranging from 15% - 95%, meaning some cores were idling while others were choking. I first tried setting the Windows scheduler to 'Background Services', but my overall FPS dropped by 15, which was a huge disappointment. I then fired up the GamePP Resource Scheduler Panel, set the game to the highest priority, and used the Process Priority Manager to lock the compute threads to the physical core group.
