Samsung 990 PRO Fan Curve
The sharp whine of thermal throttling in Resident Evil 9's zombie sieges was a nightmare, with my Samsung 990 PRO 2TB hitting 70℃. I tried cranking the case fans to max, but AIDA64 showed the drive temp barely dropped while the noise became unbearable. I needed a targeted solution. I used the GamePP Fan Curve Configuration Panel to set the drive fan to 1800 RPM specifically at the 65℃ threshold. GamePP Sensor confirmed the temperature dropped to a stable 60-65℃ range. The throttling stopped, and the drive ran cool and quiet. This specific fan curve switch saved my hardware and kept my gameplay smooth.
