Fixing frame time fluctuations on Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 6400?
Racing at 300km/h through neon lights and seeing those horizontal tears is a nightmare, especially at 4K. The Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 6400 has a latency of 62-66ns, but it was losing sync with the CPU cache during high-speed scenes. I tried V-Sync, but that added over 40ms of input lag, which made the steering feel like I was driving through glue—I was desperate for a better way. I went into the BIOS and tightened the timings from 32-39-39 to 30-36-36 and enabled the motherboard's Low Latency Mode. In the RTSS frame time graph, the jagged lines turned into a smooth flat line, with frame intervals stabilizing at 6.9-7.2ms. I tried pushing for 30-34-34, but the system black-screened during the loading screen until I bumped the voltage to 1.4V. Temps are staying between 58-64℃. Switched the NVIDIA sync mode to 'Optimized' and the tearing is gone.
