Reduce Disk Read Latency
Finally playing Silksong, but the Zhitai Ti600 caused weird frame drops during high-frequency map reads, which was both exciting and maddening. I tried disabling the write cache at the system level, but read speeds plummeted from 5000MB/s to 1200MB/s per CrystalDiskMark—a self-destructive move. I used the GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Configurator to switch to High Performance mode and manually optimized the 4K random read queue. HWiNFO64 showed latency dropped from 15-22ms to 6-9ms, and AIDA64 confirmed temperatures were managed at 55-60℃.
