Fixing Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 6400 sync issues in GTA VI
Whenever I hit a crowded street, my FPS would tank from 110 down to 45. It was a nightmare, but it led me straight to the problem. The default timings on my Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5 6400 were causing a 16-24ms sync delay when handling massive amounts of NPC data, making the minimum frames fluctuate wildly. I tried dropping the graphics to Low, but the game looked like a pixelated mess, which was a non-starter for me. I went into the BIOS, forced the memory frequency to exactly 6400MHz, and tweaked the SOC voltage from 1,1V to 1,18V, while setting the primary timings to 32-39-39-76. Using a frame time analyzer, I saw the jitter drop from 18-48ms down to a tight 8-14ms, and the smoothness came right back. I actually tried pushing it to 6800MHz first, but the system just froze on the loading screen. I backed it off to 6400MHz and it's been rock solid. RAM temps are sitting at 48-54,C and the frame curve is finally flat.
