Correcting AI Sharpening artifacts in Death Stranding
Too much sharpening creates those ugly white halos, known as over-sharpening. Per visual audit 2025-VIS-03 at 1440p, max settings introduced jagged aliasing on rock textures. I tried turning it off, but the image became a muddy mess. The sweet spot was found in the NVIDIA GeForce Experience panel: I dialed sharpness down from 70% to 35% and added 15% blur to soften the transition. GPU-Z showed a negligible 3% load increase, keeping FPS stable. Unfortunately, this still produces slight noise in pitch-black shadows. The instant clarity brought a literal sparkle back to my vision.
