Optimizing NVMe cache for Spider-Man Remastered
Switching views in combat caused painful stutters. I tried setting virtual memory to half the disk space, but it made the read/write conflicts worse. I used GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Configuration to raise the queue depth to 2048 and enabled forced write cache refresh. CrystalDiskMark showed 4K random read speed improving to 68-75MB/s from 45-52MB/s. Scene loading time reduced from 12s to 5s, and HDD temperature is stable at 42-55℃. The game feels instant and responsive now.
