Prevent Throttling in Forza Horizon 5
During high-speed driving, my Sapphire METAL Alloy Pulse RX 9070 XT 16G D6 core temperature hit 85°C on HWiNFO64, triggering downclocking. I tried increasing case fan speed, but the noise was loud and the temperature didn't drop, leaving me feeling excited yet helpless. I suspected a hardware defect and contacted support, but they suggested checking fan curves. I used the GamePP Fan Curve Config panel to set the fan speed to 1800 RPM at an 80°C threshold. Stress tests confirmed the temperature dropped to 78-82°C per AIDA64, with frame generation time stabilizing at 4.8-5.5ms. The switch to this curve resolved the issue completely.
