Reducing World War Z: Aftermath Latency
Despite a 20ms network ping, the game felt like it had 200ms lag during large-scale battles. I tried increasing virtual memory, but it made things worse due to disk read/write conflicts, dropping the frame rate to 30 FPS. Using GamePP Resource Scheduler, I identified a background data sync service consuming bandwidth and set its priority to Lowest. In-game network latency test showed average latency dropped from 120ms to 45ms. Memory utilization stabilized at 70-75% per GamePP Memory Controller Load Monitor.
