NVMe Queue Depth Configuration
Riding through the outskirts of Rome, I watched distant mountains appear as blocky pixel textures, ruining the open-world experience. I tried increasing the page file size to 32GB, but it backfired, dropping the frame rate from 78 to 61 FPS. I used the GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Config to raise the queue depth to 2048 and enabled forced write cache flushing. CrystalDiskMark showed 4K random reads improved to 68-75MB/s, up from 45-52MB/s. HWiNFO monitored VRM temperature at 58-63°C, while AIDA64 reported memory latency of 92-108ns. This fix ensures that texture data streams continuously, preventing the visual artifacts that previously broke my immersion in the vast Roman landscapes.
