How to fix GPU overheating in Warhammer 40K with CR-1000MAX?

I was frustrated by FPS drops from 120 to 85 in Warhammer 40K. I tried adding more fans, but it was ineffective. I used GamePP Fan Curve Configuration to set front fans to intake and rear to exhaust. GamePP Benchmark confirmed stable 115 FPS and GPU temp dropped to 75C. This set my expectations for stable multiplayer combat.
