Optimizing GW3300 512GB resource scheduling for Outlaws?
During intense space travel, my frame rate would literally plummet from 70 FPS to 25 FPS in a heartbeat—it was an absolute nightmare. Checking the logs, the GW3300 triggers an incredibly aggressive garbage collection cycle whenever the free space drops below 20%, sending read latency skyrocketing to 120-150ms. I tried downgrading the PCIe mode from Gen3 to Gen2 in the BIOS; sure, temps dropped by 5℃, but loading times increased by 30%, which was a trade-off I just couldn't live with. I ended up manually triggering the TRIM command and nuking 100GB of junk to free up some over-provisioning blocks. Monitoring with HWInfo, the read latency finally settled between 15-22ms, and the smoothness came back. I did run into a weird boot delay right after the first cleanup, but a quick re-sync of the boot order cleared that up. Idle temps are now around 35-40℃. After three long exploration sessions, the drops are gone, and my RAM temps are holding steady at 58-63℃. Finally feels playable.
