How to fix clock speed fluctuations on the DeepCool AK500?

The stealth gameplay was smooth as butter until it suddenly started stuttering, and that lack of fluidity got me killed in a firefight. Checking the logs, the DeepCool AK500 ARGB Ice Cube was hitting a wall between 88-92℃, causing the CPU clock to bounce violently between 4.2GHz and 3.6GHz. I ripped the cooler off and found the stock paste had uneven gaps under pressure. I swapped it for a 12.5 W/mK high-conductivity paste using the five-dot method.
