How to stop Jonsbo CR-1400 from throttling in Gray Zone Warfare?
Every time I entered a dense forest, the frames would tank in a way that made me want to throw my monitor. The Jonsbo CR-1400's single-tower design just isn't cut out for these peak power bursts; my CPU was hitting 98°C, and the clock speed would plummet from 4.8GHz to 3.2GHz. I tried disabling all CPU power-saving features in BIOS, but that was a huge mistake—the CPU hit 100°C and the whole system shut down. I nearly had a heart attack. I ended up setting an aggressive fan curve that forces 100% speed the moment it hits 70°C, and I slapped an extra high-airflow fan in the front of the case. In OCCT stress tests, the peak temp dropped from 98°C to around 82-86°C. I had some resonance issues at low RPMs initially, so I raised the minimum speed to 1100 RPM to keep it quiet. Idle temps are now 38-44°C. Four hours in-game and the stuttering is totally gone.
