Can disabling MPO fix driver timeouts on Sapphire RX 7800 XT?

This card has been a real piece of work; every time I'm about to overtake someone on the track, it decides to reboot my entire system. Just brilliant. The Sapphire RX 7800 XT 16G Polar Edition was triggering TDR timeouts whenever it hit complex materials, sending me straight back to the desktop. I tried lowering all the settings, but for some reason, that actually made it crash more often—just my luck. I finally dove into the registry to disable Windows MPO (Multi-Plane Overlay) and slightly dropped the VRAM frequency from 2000MHz to 1950MHz. HWInfo showed the VRAM temps drop from a scorching 88℃ down to 76-81℃, and the crashes stopped completely. I did have some weird flickering in my browser after disabling MPO, but updating the browser's hardware acceleration driver sorted that out. Core clock is steady at 2300-2450MHz with power draw around 220-240W. I exported all the crash logs for peace of mind, and fans are humming along at 1400-1600RPM.
