How to optimize memory channels on Galax B360M-M.2?
During fast attack chains, the frame rate would just randomly dip by 10 FPS, which made me really paranoid about my hardware. A quick check in CPU-Z revealed that while both sticks were detected, the memory was running in Single Channel mode, cutting my bandwidth in half. I wasted a bunch of time messing with the virtual memory size in Windows, which did absolutely nothing. I finally shut everything down, reseated the RAM into slots 2 and 4, and manually forced Dual Channel mode in the BIOS. Read speeds jumped from 25 GB/s to 42 GB/s, and frame times stabilized from 12-25ms to a crisp 8-13ms. I actually had a boot failure after the first reseat until I cleaned the gold contacts with an eraser. Now CPU is at 60-68℃ and VRMs at 52-58℃. A memory benchmark confirmed the bandwidth is fully unlocked.
