Solving pump response lag on MasterLiquid B360?

Exploring the wasteland was fine until the combat kicked in, then I'd get these 0.3s hitches that are absolutely lethal in a fight. The B360 Core pump is way too sluggish on the default profile, letting heat build up until the CPU clocks tanked to 3.5GHz. I tried capping the TDP to 85W via software, but that just killed about 12% of my overall performance without actually fixing the stutters. I went into the BIOS, set the pump to Full Speed, and bumped the front intake fans to 1400 RPM. HWInfo showed the peak temps dropped from 92℃ to a much safer 76℃ - 82℃, and the stuttering completely vanished. I did notice a high-pitched whine from the pump after switching to full speed, but shifting the radiator position slightly stopped the vibration. Temps are now 74℃ - 79℃ and the clocks are finally stable at 1400 - 1600 RPM fan speed.
