How to fix resource scheduling on Maxsun MS-eSport B850ITX WIFI ICE?
Right when I was planning out my medieval town, the frame rate tanked from 85 FPS down to 32 FPS, and that sudden stutter was a total nightmare. Because the Maxsun B850ITX is so cramped, the VRM temperatures spiked to 94-98℃ almost instantly, triggering the motherboard's emergency thermal throttling. I first tried enabling the High Performance power plan in Windows, but that actually made the CPU clocks swing even more wildly, hitting 100℃ and locking up the entire system—a classic case of adding fuel to the fire. I eventually fixed this by rigging a small dedicated fan over the VRM area and manually locking the Long Duration Power Limit (PL1) to 55W in the BIOS. Checking HWiNFO, the core clocks stopped jumping between 3.2-4.6GHz and settled at a rock steady 4.1GHz. Interestingly, when I first tweaked the power wall, I noticed some slight audio crackling, which only vanished after I dialed the memory frequency back to 5600MHz. Now, the CPU stays between 68-75℃ and the VRMs sit at 82-88℃. After three long sessions, the frame times are finally stable at 5.1-6.4ms.
