A Plague Tale Requiem cache fix for Zhitai TiPro9000 4TB SSD
I can't believe it. The Zhitai TiPro9000 4TB is a beast, but it still choked in A Plague Tale. When thousands of rats fill the screen, the massive temporary writes filled the SLC cache instantly, and speeds plummeted from 7000MB/s to 1000MB/s. The game turned into a slideshow. I tried disabling write caching in Windows, but that just made it worse—a total waste of time. Finally, I used the GamePP NVMe Queue Depth Config to lock the queue depth at 1024 and enabled a forced cache flush policy. CrystalDiskMark showed a 15% boost in 4K random writes, and the stuttering in rat scenes vanished. This was an exhausting fix, so I used GamePP to backup.
